Business Award Categories

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY BUSINESS AWARD OF THE YEAR:**
This award is given to an individual, business, or organisation that has developed or enhanced their business practices to protect the environment and minimised their carbon footprint and may include precautions taken to lessen the environmental impact in their business practices.

EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR:
This award is given to an extra-ordinary individual who has completed the required probationary period; dedicated and knowledgeable of the business, shows enthusiasm, passion and leadership, while selflessly contributing to their place of employment and to the community at large.

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR: 
This award is given to a stand-out business demonstrating high business ethics, professionalism, enthusiasm and excellent customer service.

HAROLD HAWKER AWARD OF EXCELLENCE:
This award is given to any individual, business or organisation to recognise and honour their dedication, loyalty, passion, courage and foresight contributed to make the Liverpool Plains a better place to live.

CHAMBER RECOGNITION AWARD:**
This award is given to an individual or organisation that has contributed through community service to the betterment of the local communities in the Liverpool Plains District.

RETAIL BUSINESS AWARD:

(less than five employees)
This award is given to an individual, or business, that has shown development in retail standards, professionalism and excellence in customer service.

RETAIL BUSINESS AWARD:
(more than six employees)
This award is given to an individual, or business, that has shown development in retail standards, professionalism and excellence in customer service.

SERVICE BUSINESS AWARD: 
This award is given to an individual, or business, for the services and/or trade provided in a manner consistently exceeding the customers’ expectations.

MANUFACTURING & CONSTRUCTION AWARD:
This award is given to an individual, or business, that shows outstanding craftsmanship, professional standards and excellence in service.

HOSPITALITY AWARD:
This award is given to an individual, business, or organisation that exceeds in customer service; leaving you with a warm and friendly impression of their traditional/innovative hospitality.

TOURISM AWARD:
This award is given to an individual, business, or organisation that has shown outstanding and consistent enthusiasm in promoting our shire’s attractions.

BEST NEW BUSINESS:
This award is given to an individual, business, or organisation that has been in operation for less than three (3) years and more than twelve (12) months, showing excellence in customer service, professionalism and solid overall business practices.

AGRIBUSINESS AWARD:

This award is given to a registered (ABN) an individual, business, or organisation that has consistently demonstrated excellence in the provision of services and business practices to the agricultural industry.

PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS AWARD:
This award is given to an individual, business, or organisation who have excelled in their commitment to the community and clients’ needs, with outstanding professional and efficient services within their area of expertise.

SCHOOL BASED APRENTICE/ TRAINEE OF THE YEAR:*
This award is given to an individual who is currently registered as a school based apprentice or trainee, completing the employment placement and course with a registered training provider. This is the component of the program and is actively involved with school and community activities.

TRAINEE OF THE YEAR AWARD:*
This award is given to an individual who is currently attending work; a Registered Trainee who is successfully completing their course with a registered training organisation and actively involved in community activities.

APPRENTICE OF YEAR AWARD:*
This award is given to an individual who is currently attending work; a Registered Apprentice in their last, or second last year of their apprenticeship who is successfully completing their course with a registered training organisation and actively involved in community activities.
